Florian Zeller's The Father in Arabic, a man losing his memory, seen through his own eyes.
I designed the costumes for The Father, directed by Khawla Ibrahim for Al-Jawwal Theatre. It played the Krieger Theatre in Haifa and El Hakawati in Jerusalem in 2022, and opened Sard Theatre's first season in Haifa that November.
About the piece
André is ageing and losing his memory. He lives with, or perhaps visits, his daughter Anne, and the audience sees an uncertain, shifting reality through his eyes: a maze about human frailty, by Florian Zeller.
